Xilisoft Video to Audio Converter allows you to rip the audio off your videos. This application will allow you to convert video files such as AVI, MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG4, WMV, MP4, 3GP, MOV, RM, RMVB, OGG, and H.264/AVC to MP3, WAV, AC3, WMA, M4A, OGG, and AAC.
There are many uses for an application like this. For example, if you download a lot of recitals and you would like to listen to them on a mobile device that does not support video files, you can simply convert them to MP3. If you like a movie's theme song, you can convert it to MP3 and listen to it on the go. There are many more but they go beyond the scope of this review. The application has exactly the same graphical user interface as the other Xilisoft converters. This is a good thing, since it is easy to use, but it isn't really nice-looking. Looks aside, the application will do its task just fine. It will also let you convert several files at once, since it features batch-mode processing. The speed conversion is great, too. If you are only wanting to convert a few files to audio, you might want to look into some of the video converters, which also let you convert to audio only.
